Services
Bathing
*Please be patient with us as we are unable to perform this service until our clinic is rebuilt*
-------------------------
We can get your cat or dog squeaky-clean and meadow-fresh with our full-service bathing. Pets are washed with a cactus & aloe shampoo and conditioner and dried to bring their fluff back. Medicated baths are available for our allergy dogs for an additional charge.
It is always best to make an appointment (we can usually fit you in for the following day), but walk-ins before 9am are accepted. We ask that owners drop pets off between 7:30 and 9am. Owners receive a call as soon as their pet is ready for pick-up. *Saturday baths are very limited because of our shorter hours, so weekdays are always best.*
We do not do flea dips, but flea medications for dogs and cats are available at our clinic. These products can be administered to the pet while they are here for a bath at no additional fee, but the price of the product itself varies by the weight of the pet.
Back to top of pageBloodwork
Taking blood samples allows our doctor to determine the state of a pet's kidney, liver, thyroid, and white/red blood cell count, to name just a few. Most bloodwork (and other samples obtained) are sent to an outside lab for the most accurate readings. Typically we get results within 24 hours to ensure that we can move quickly in deciding what the best treatment is for each pet's situation. Samples such as heartworm tests, pre-op profiles, and comprehensive diagnostic profiles can be run in-house and results are usually ready within 10 to 15 minutes.

-------------------------
All pets boarding with us are provided with tender loving care by qualified kennel attendants! We have the capacity to board dogs, cats, and exotics (exotics require their own housing to be brought in with them at time of drop-off). It isn't necessary, but owners may bring in the pet's bedding, toys, food, or anything else they might want from home. For those pets who require it, we can administer medications for a small charge. And don't forget, we also offer supervised playtimes (up to 3 per day) to keep your pets happy and active while you're away.
Dogs are housed in crates or runs. They are taken outside for potty breaks 3 times per day and have their bedding, food, and water refreshed morning and night (or as often as necessary). We have food on-hand for our doggie boarders if owners do not bring some from home.
Cats are housed in cat condos. We refresh their bedding, food, litter, and water morning and night (or as often as necessary). We have food on-hand for our kitty boarders if owners do not bring some from home.
Exotics are kept in their own personal cages and tanks from home. We refresh their food, water, bedding materials, etc as often as necessary. Owners must leave food for exotic pets.

We provide day boarding for those owners who want their pets to have companionship while they are gone during the day. These pets are offered the same care and personal playtime as our regular, long-term boarders.

-------------------------
Just like with people, the condition of a pet's teeth can adversly affect internal organs, so regular professional dental cleanings are important for maintaining your pet's teeth and health. It is best to do cleanings before problems start, when plaque is at a minimum and gums are a nice, healthy pink. We use safe, ultrasonic technology to clean each tooth thoroughly, making sure to get above and below the gum line. Afterward, we polish each tooth to create a smooth surface that will better resist plaque buildup.
Dental cleanings require the use of anesthesia, so just as with surgeries, no more food should be given to the pet after midnight the night before, but they can have plenty of water (this will keep them hydrated). We ask that patients be dropped off between 7:30 and 9am the morning of the procedure.

Our clinic is equipped with a top-of-the line digital radiograph (x-ray) system, which helps our doctor evaluate and diagnose problems quickly and with a greater deal of accuracy than with a regular (non-digital) machine. This system uses less radiation, is more time efficient, and creates digital files which can be easily transferred and enhanced.
